SeaSands in the Sun

This dark purple skinned fruit is widely found in the South East Asia region. I love mangosteen seasons! It's also the rambutan and durian season. I don't dig the latter but I love the former! I was gonna eat my mangosteens, and decided to post something about it for those who aren't familiar with local Malaysian fruits. Apparently it's one of the 'superfruits' haha! Dark purple outside, white inside At the base of the fruit, you see this flower-ish pattern..my mum told me the amount of 'petals' signifies the amount of fruit that's inside. Like this one, it has 6 petals... True enough, it has 6 fruits inside mmm sweet You gotta be careful though..the juice leaves a nasty stain! Useful Site: Mangosteen

Well you all know the famous children telly show called Barney & Friends. For those who don't know - it's a make belief purple dinosaur from kids' imagination..Just Google them and you will know who they are exactly. Why in the world am I blogging about Barney?? Okay here are the pics of the Redang trip. Redang is one of the bigger islands of Terengganu. Terengganu is situated at the East Coast of Malaysia. We took the bus there and it reached Kuala Terengganu (K.T.) around 5.40 a.m. Approximately the ride took 8 hours. The bus stopped at a stall that had an East Malaysian delicacy - Kerabu rice and roasted chicken. I couldn't eat that early in the morning, so I just drank Milo. Normally the rice is blue in colour [colour is derived from a blue flower called the Telang flower (C. ternatea)] and is served with roasted chicken or dried fish.
