SeaSands in the Sun

Location 2 : Salamanca ! The beautiful city which I called Home for a month. It's city off Madrid. As small as it is, it is home to the oldest university in Spain (and if i'm not mistaken, the best?) It a 2.5 hour journey from Madrid. I travelled by bus to Salamanca as they have regular trips there. I love this bus' service. The bus is very comfortable and spacious. It costs roughly around €17 (express) for one way. If you choose the normal route, it's about €13 or so. The €13 bus is a little less spacious, but still good. I didn't like the bus I took to Granada - Auto-Continental..was a little stuffy.. Auto Res Avanza's good! Woot! Welcome to Salamanca! There's a bull cut-out everytime you enter a different city - once I saw a cactus and cowboy cut-out..dunno what they meant by that.. This is the university's wall - Universidad de Salamanca . I'm really missing Spain..once in a while my mind would wonder back to the summer when I was there. Well I'm going to blog about the places that I went in Spain..maybe it might help if you want to visit Spain(oh you must!) , as well as to refresh my memory of the places I went to.. Location 1 : Madrid The 2 leaning towers behind the statue-dude( Monument of Plaza de Castilla ) is called the Puerta de Europa (Door of Europe). I just found out that these are the first 2 leaning high rised tower (I'm guessing Pisa was unintentional!) Puerta De Europa Football(Soccer for some) fans would not want to miss visiting Barnebeu ! I had a great time touring the stadium. Camp Nou might've been bigger..but Real Madrid's stadium is classier (sorry!) Wow i just saw the last entry for this blog..almost 9 months ago! somebody could've popped a baby out in that amount of time~ Well this is supposed to be a collective blog - So Oreja get your blogging groove back on! One thing that I'm absolutely addicted to is..MOVIES! I love love love going to the cinema. Unfortunately my movie mates have somehow dispersed..they've gone abroad once again to continue their studies. My colleagues who are movie maniacs have unfortunately left the company..soooooooooo what am I going to do to get my movie fix?? I am really looking forward to watch VANTAGE POINT (bloody hell it's already out here!!!) I saw this trailer when I went to watch Rendition (I thought it was a good movie) and I was uber excited when the newscaster in the movie said "here in Salamanca,Spain ..." I almost jumped out of my seat (i think i did a little hehe) cuzzzzzzzz I had the opportunity to spend a month in Salamanca last summer! I LOVE SPAIN =D Later o
