Some Indian Food! Summer loves Indian food and this restaurant is one of her favourites - Sri Ananda Bahwan. It's located in Little India. I had a post on it once. Please click here if you would like to read more about the area Chapati - form of staple food of the northern part of south Asia. Unleavened bread. This one is stuffed with chicken masala paste. It's a bit spicy but yum. Curry - dhal and some other stuff. Sorry not too good at names, just good at eating them~ Thosai - there's a variety of thosais around - ghee, cheese, stuffed..you name it~ It's made out of rice and black lentils. My church friend Denise is a wonderful singer. I've been wanting to blog about her for awhile now, but procrastination always had the better of me. Today I shall blog about her! She's gone to another state now to continue her studies, and I bugged her to sing a song by Utada Hikaru..for a while now..and she actually sang it - she just passed me the link of her youtube and she dedicated the song to me. =) so sweet of you missy! Day of Desserts! Went to celebrate a friend's birthday at Swensen's . Tried their Sizzling Pan - Walnut Rocky Road - Choc pie with choc ice cream with butterscotch & marshmallows topped with walnuts and choc chips in a sizzling pan.. absolutely sinful. ♥ Then we had Choc fondue..but it wasn't that fantastic (for me) as it was dark chocolate..prefer the hazelnut choc one! Last night's cell-group we discussed about LOVE. Such a powerful 4-letter word. After some discussion we came to a conclusion that Love is an emotional-attachment for someone/something. When you are away from that, you will feel alone/lonely. But what is the definition of love? The Bible actually spells out what Love is really all about: 1 Corinthians 13 4 Love is patient, love is kind. Here's a song that I love from the cartoon "Joseph King of Dreams". Over the weekend my bestie Summer came over to bake cupcakes. It was her first time and I'm not very experienced in the baking Dept either..surprisingly the cakes turned out pretty good! My mum wrote down the recipe and she kinda guided us in the beginning, then the rest were in our shaky hands! So our baking quest began.. Summer measuring the brown sugar Adding the chocolate paste (tasted foul on it's own!) to the mixture of sugar and butter. (thank God the mixer worked this time around! Check out my previous cupcake horror here ) Just beat it, beat it.....the batter's done - after adding in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder, eggs, essence of vanilla and milk The babies are ready to be baked! Into the oven you go! Experimenting with the amount of batter we used..loved this popped fairy cakes result! Then we did the topping - cream cheese!! =D First I tried out to design the topping..but Summer's got the knack of it..mine came out all silly. lol Summer

July 22nd 2009 : Our part of the world was fortunate enough to see the longest solar eclipse - 6min and 39 seconds. We only got to see the end portion of it as we were not located at India nor China. I got pretty excited to see it and Oreja texted me telling me that she could see the eclipse from where she was at. I ran like a fool upstairs, but I didn't have any dark material to look through. My colleague suggested the see-through coloured files and we folded it into 4 and still it wasn't clear enough! Then one genius engineer found a slate of tinted glass - voila! that did the trick! A colleague watching the eclipse On another note: if you're feeling down, nothing gets you back up like chocolate (and a little prayer, ofcourse) My expired M&Ms ..YUM =D (not sure where the orange came from haha)

What a way to end up in the papers. I can't believe it! I woke up receiving a text message from Summer stating so. I'm so shocked - then I read online that Farah Fawcett passed away too due to her long time battle with cancer. MJ's older songs will always be evergreen. I will always remember growing up listening to him. I remember Bad and Beat It were the songs that I always watched at the age of 6+. Then I remember my dad bought one of his concerts' video, and after school (during my primary school years) - we used to watch his video tape (yes, there was no such thing as VCD/DVD then) all the time! And I will forever be amazed of that Smooth Criminal move where he slants down and stands back up..only last year I found out it was a special kind of shoe that they created for that...and it's patented! I always knew my dog Bobo wasn't the studious type..since he ate up homework and all (Proof: Click here )but I just realised that he was actually more the business-minded kind.. Digging up soil and scratching the car was no longer exciting.Added bonus: he has a new partner in crime, Blossom. Last Saturday I heard some rustling sound outside the house, I thought the dogs were just messing around with the newspaper or something..little did I know they did a big mess! The whole of outside was scattered with Paper money and plastic houses!! Little did I know what they were up to..MAN, they were playing... MONOPOLY!!!!!!! There goes Antoine's Ben 10 Monopoly I was too amused to get upset..so I asked him one question: So Bo, how many houses did you buy? They never fail to surprise me.
