I first heard about Randy Pausch in Our Daily Bread (click here ). Randy was a computer science prof who had liver cancer and had months left to live. He gave a final lecture at his University. He knew that death was inevitable - so he chose to have fun every single day. My boss shared Randy's Last Lecture with us at work, and I thank him for that. :) I expected Randy to be old and well, dying. However, this man was exuberant! You will totally forget that he's diagnosed with cancer when you watch him. Here's the last lecture which I took from Youtube: It's an hour-long, but it's worth the time. Here's a song that I love from the cartoon "Joseph King of Dreams". The story is about how Joseph endures hardship from his brothers for being the favoured child (he got sold as a slave by his brothers) to in the end being a ruler. Who is Faith? She was born deformed with only 3 legs (one had to be taken off cuz of how badly deformed it was) and the family who took her in taught her how to walk with 2 legs!!! You can read about her here . What she has achieved is amazing. I saw her on Oprah the other day and she is truly an inspirational animal. If she can achieve this, we can also achieve things we never imagine we could, all we need to do is try! "Unless you flap your wings, you will never know how high you can fly"
