SeaSands in the Sun

It was a lovely Saturday afternoon and the flowers are in bloom. The hibiscus plant in particular, was blossoming really well.. Hibiscus rosa-sinensis This is also Malaysia's national flower.. It comes in all sorts of colours and there are well over 200 species of hibiscus. I just found out that South Korea's national flower is also the hibiscus, but a different species. Mr.Brownie just had a leak at the plant and is walking away nonchalantly. Is that why the plant's growing so well and the flowers are so big and bright?

Last Saturday, Summerhope and I went out shopping for..BANGLES (well Summer wanted to get them, I just tagged along =P ) Off we went shopping, then we ended up at Little India..Over there, there was also a "Pasar Ramadhan" aka Ramadhan Market going on. During the month of Ramadhan, the Muslims fast and during this month there's this thing called the Ramadhan Market - rows and rows of stalls selling all sorts of food. Most common dishes you will find will be the chicken rice, roasted chicken (all sorts of varieties - marinated, blak pepper, honey, etc..) and savoury cakes. I did not manage to capture any photos on that day; however, I did get some pics yesterday (it's everywhere!) Note the Spanish colour there? heheheh I purposely took that pic! Buying foodstuff to break fast Okay..back to Little India..well I would say Miss Summer was spoilt for choice of bangles there!! She was having a dilemma on which ones to buy..they're all so colourful! Typical shop lo

I have this dream to help out in Thailand - it's a project that keeps girls safe from sex trade/slavery. Ever since Oprah had a feature on it, I wanted to help them out. Then my friend Espy told me about Keep The Girls Safe Project in Thailand . They teach the girls living skills and keep them in school. So far I've emailed the people in charge, to volunteer, but there's no response (!).They only require monetary aids. I shall get this fulfilled one day..
