Kris Allen is the new American Idol

Image
Curious George has done it! I don't deny Kris' talent, but I can't help feeling disappointed that Adam didn't win. I told Oreja before the results was going to be announced that I will wear black nail polish if Adam wins. After Ryan announced that Kris has won, I told her I've to wear black nail polish to mourn his loss. hehe. Off I went to get my black nail polish, only to find out that it has dried out!!! Hmm maybe it's not such a tragedy afterall..for he may not have garnered enough votes to win the heart of the Americans (I'm just surprised SO MAY VOTES CAME IN DESPITE THE ECONOMIC SITUATION! ~88million votes) - but I think he has created enough buzz to win the hearts of many worldwide. Kris will always be the humble down to earth winner that we all love. But I can't wait to see what Adam will do to turn the whole industry upside down. Hurry UP! =D I hope Idol will have a show where they invite their past contestants and have a "Super American ...

The Mirror Effect

*Oreja was SUPPOSED to write this post - she *claimed* she would write it if I found the pics for her.. but I guess I have to do the writing for her as well...*sigh* Well Oreja and I were watching American Idol a few weeks back and realised that all the top 13 looked like someone famous/someone we knew..so we've come up with these comparison pics for you guys to see. Do you think they match? I've put the people they look like on the left and the top 13 on the right. - All the pics I have taken from the internet for this comparison, so the credits goes to whoever they are. 1.Singer Justin Timberlake vs Matt Guardi (this guy, as Addy and Oreja pointed out, also looks like Michael Buble at some angles) 2. Singer Joey Mcintyre vs. Scott Mcintyre Could they be related cause they have the same surname? They both have same kinda eyes 3. American Idol Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino vs Lil' Rounds Don't you think they both have the similar cock's comb? 4. Actress Reese Wi...

What About Now?

I YouTubed Daughtry's What About Now , and his video is so inspiring. Some of you may have seen his song played in American Idol, when he went to visit the children with AIDS in Africa. The embedded code for the video has been disabled, so I can only provide the link. Click here . Plaease view it to get the full effect ;) Seeing his video has resurfaced one of my goals to achieve.. I have this dream to help out in Thailand - it's a project that keeps girls safe from sex trade/slavery. Ever since Oprah had a feature on it, I wanted to help them out. Then my friend Espy told me about Keep The Girls Safe Project in Thailand . They teach the girls living skills and keep them in school. So far I've emailed the people in charge, to volunteer, but there's no response (!).They only require monetary aids. I shall get this fulfilled one day.. Anyway, these are the lyrics to Daughtry's song: Shadows fill an empty heart As love is fading, From all the things that we are ...

It was down to the Ds..

I'm sure most of you have known who won American Idol 7 by now..it was down to the 2 Daves.. David Archuleta and David Cook.. I must say I didn't really like all the contestants this year..but I can't really blame them as I think it was down to the themes of the songs they had to sing. C'mon, Beatles for 2 weeks consecutively..then Dolly Parton....Neil Diamond....zzzzzzzzzzzz. Mother loved Archuleta and Oreja was by Cook all the time (Actually it was Danny Noriega but he didn't make it through)..I was..well.. I just watched the show. HAHA. The finale was not too bad..I liked the Davids on and off. I really enjoyed their duet though. "Hero" which was originally sung by Josey Scott (from the band Saliva) and Chad Kroeger (from Nickleback). And I also really liked Archuleta's song with One Republic! Here are the clips. p/s: Cook won. lol. Well..now that we got AI out of the picture...what else is there to watch now?!

David Cook, Chris Cornell or Michael Jackson?!

I just watched American Idol - the top 10 finalists. Seriously they are boring me..I only thought The Australian guy..I always forget his name, and David Cook did awesome. The theme this week was to sing a song from the year they were born. The Aussie sang a mixture of Queen's We Will Rock You & We Are the Champion and David sang..Billie Jean(Chris Cornell's version)!! I have not heard Chris Cornell's version before this (Audioslave dude) and after the show I checked his version out..David did sing his version, although he did tweak it a little here and there. I thought he did a good job. Chris' one was a little raspy, but that's the way he sings lol David's version: Chris's Version (Which David emulated after) and ofcourse, here's the original one: You know the bit where he goes "..but the kid's not my son.." ? I ALWAYS thought it was "..but the CHAIR'S not my son.."..my mum and aunts used to sing that!! I love this versi...
