2013!

Image
Well this year has been very, very interesting.. lots of changes and I must say 2013 is bittersweet indeed. I found out that I actually like hiking! haha Hiked up @ the Penang National Park - to Kerachut Beach and Monkey Beach this year. It's been fun :) I LOVE GAMES! played lots of Cluedo, Happy Families and Taboo..soo awesome :D  Redeemed myself - read some books! hehehe Didn't watch too many movies this year - that's kinda good right? :) Returned to the BEAUTIFUL Cambodia (again!) this time it was awesome.. got to see the sights on bike with a friend who brought me around. I will return next year for sure!!   Had friends from the UK and the Philippines who are based in Cambodia & KL come and visit - became a tourguide! hehehe ..yes indeed.. MY PENANG ROCKS!   Went to 2 amazing concerts and came back with horrid photos! Had a wonderful Christmas with loved ones W

OneRepublic's Native Tour 31.10.13

Image
My buddy and I went to OneRepublic 's Native tour which was held in Sunway Lagoon, KL. This will be my first Concert in a mosh-pit as I'm a little claustrophobic and 'not-too-young' no more..it was a good experience I would say; least I can finally tick "being in a mosh pit" off my bucket list!  We flew to Subang in the afternoon and hung about in Sunway Pyramid mall till the concert (starts at 8.30pm). Happily checked out the venue, etc. Plus point was that we accidentally saw Drew and I reckon, Brent walking back to their hotel. What did we do? We followed them. Oh man! I haven't done these kind of things since my teens! hahaha..but we didn't run nor scream after them. We slowly walked behind them.. lol! we sat at the hotel lobby and their bodyguard shoo-ed us off. We didn't cause any ruckus, of course..I understand they need their privacy, but it was kind of fun and stupid at the same time :D Only managed to get a REALLY shaky shot of D

Come Read with me - Oct-Nov '13

Read a few series in the past couple of months. First one being the Mortal Instruments' Series By Cassandra Clare . It's pretty cool and the female character in the book is awesome :) It delves more into angels & demons in opposing to the regular vampire & werewolf duo being the main theme of certain popular books at the moment. *However*, there are vampires and werewolves in the plot, but they get supporting roles. Basically this is a series of bad vs good and a breed of "Shadowhunters" - a race of human + angel to protect the earth from demons. I like the action in the book and it is well written. It's a bit messed up in the beginning about siblings-relationship, but you can anticipate that it was just a red herring, so it wasn't that bad. The movie is out and it was not bad either :) The 6th book is ONLY out next year May.. too bad for the quick catch up =/ However, here are the Infernal Devices Series, which is set before the Mortal I

Linkin Park - Living Things World Tour Kuala Lumpur 19th August 2013

IT HAPPENED!!     I FINALLY WENT TO A LINKIN PARK CONCERTTTTTTTTTT!!! WOO HOO!! Been waiting for 10 years. This is the 2nd time my sis has attended their concert. I missed it last time cause I had some major exams looming up and I was too stupid to say yes :p When I saw their post on Facebook stating that they were coming........without a skip of a heartbeat I knew that we were going. It was so much funnnn!! Being "not too young' anymore, we bought seat tickets. It was nice but oh-so-far... they looked like tiny lil ants, and the crowd at the bottom looked like they were having tonnes of fun! All the pics we took were rubbish...but here's a view of what we saw.. Thank God they had 2 huge LED screens (which were horrible to photograph..the camera wouldn't focus.. all that came out were bright lights!)   Met an ex classmate there who was crazy about LP too! Was so awesome :D So happy :) Please come back again :)

Come read with me.. Jan - Sep 2013 :p

I have seriously abandoned blogging for a long time now.. but I'm happy to report that I have not abandoned my reading :) I just realised I only read ~4 books last year..which is TERRIBLE!!! So..atonement this year!   These books.. the Tiger's Curse series were practically shoved into my face by my 13-yr old cousin. She said.. You MUST read them, it's very nice. So I said fine.. I started reading the first book..hmm regular introduction of the protagonist, a 17-yr old American girl and then the introduction of a tiger. So I read further. So happened that this tiger was a Prince that had been transformed into a tiger to save his life from being taken a few hundred years ago, and he is supposedly of Chinese-Indian descent..and somehow this American girl is the key to unlocking his curse and freeing him from being a tiger. She has to go to India and visit certain locations to help him. There is of course, the villian, who wants to get his power from the Prince
