Come Read with me - Oct-Nov '13

Read a few series in the past couple of months. First one being the Mortal Instruments' Series By Cassandra Clare. It's pretty cool and the female character in the book is awesome :) It delves more into angels & demons in opposing to the regular vampire & werewolf duo being the main theme of certain popular books at the moment. *However*, there are vampires and werewolves in the plot, but they get supporting roles. Basically this is a series of bad vs good and a breed of "Shadowhunters" - a race of human + angel to protect the earth from demons. I like the action in the book and it is well written. It's a bit messed up in the beginning about siblings-relationship, but you can anticipate that it was just a red herring, so it wasn't that bad. The movie is out and it was not bad either :) The 6th book is ONLY out next year May.. too bad for the quick catch up =/ However, here are the Infernal Devices Series, which is set before the Mortal Instruments.. and my cousin has all the 3 books.. therefore I shall devour those next :)

I'm not too sure if this is a series but it seems to be turning into one - Unraveling & Unbreakable by Elizabeth Norris. This one deals with Portaling to different dimensions and doppelgangers. First book is about a girl being brought back to life by a boy, whom she later finds out is from a different earth, and due to these 'illegal' portals, the earth is unstable and is about to explode in a number of days (can't recall, prob a week or so).

My cousin made me read them - pretty decent. 2nd book is a little bit draggy at the beginning, but soon picks up and leaves you upset at some point in time in the book in relation to the characters in there. 2nd book setting is on another dimension and yes, there is also another countdown for another event. I seriously cannot recall the ending for this book but it seems like she left it an open ended one, so there are chances for another story to follow suit. She has written Undone - 3 short stories of the main characters before, during and after Unraveling. I have not read it though, so can't comment much :)

..and finally the 4th book of The Heroes of Olympus is (was) out!!! Was really excited to read it. It did not prove to be a boring read, yet again. Infused with witty remarks and easy to follow plot, I enjoyed reading it.Thanks Mr.Rick Riordan! It follows the continuation of the previous book, The Mark of Athena, where Annabeth and Percy fell into Hades. Their fellow demigods - both from the Greek and Roman camp will have to work together to rescue them on this quest. The downside is........I bought it as soon as it was out...and the following book, the Blood of Olympus is only going to be out it..........OCTOBER 2014! madre mia >.< By that time I would've (literally) lost the plot! Will depend on my wonderful cousin to remind me.. hehehe

Did not read any books in December, unfortunately. I should start again sometime soon. :)
