It was down to the Ds..

I'm sure most of you have known who won American Idol 7 by now..it was down to the 2 Daves.. David Archuleta and David Cook.. I must say I didn't really like all the contestants this year..but I can't really blame them as I think it was down to the themes of the songs they had to sing. C'mon, Beatles for 2 weeks consecutively..then Dolly Parton....Neil Diamond....zzzzzzzzzzzz. Mother loved Archuleta and Oreja was by Cook all the time (Actually it was Danny Noriega but he didn't make it through)..I was..well.. I just watched the show. HAHA. The finale was not too bad..I liked the Davids on and off. I really enjoyed their duet though. "Hero" which was originally sung by Josey Scott (from the band Saliva) and Chad Kroeger (from Nickleback). And I also really liked Archuleta's song with One Republic! Here are the clips. p/s: Cook won. lol. Well..now that we got AI out of the picture...what else is there to watch now?!

LOVE IT! I'm too zombified to write a proper blog but bottom line is...MU's the champs of Europe! Woke up at 3.45am to watch the 2nd half of the finals till it proceeded to the penalty shootout. In conclusion; drogba was silly, i almost had a heart attack, hands were trembling and was texting constantly to update a friend who had to leave for his clinicals JUST as the penalty shootout was commencing! (he caught the replay later in the day). We gots the doubleys this time =D Poor Terry..but asi es la vida... you win some and you lose some.

That's why we are champs!

I was in Hat Yai, Thailand over the weekend for a holiday. Hat Yai is situated at the South of Thailand in the province of Songkla. Can't really see but the sign board says Welcome to Hat Yai They love their King very much. You wouldn't believe their loyalty. They have orange wristbands saying Long Live the King for his 80th b'day last year and almost EVERYONE I met wore it. Had our lunch in a restaurant - the girls' Seafood Tom Yam. We stayed at Diamond Hotel, super cool creature at the entrance..there were 2 of em! This is a man selling peanuts from Chiang Mai (another part of Thailand). He carries it on his shoulder and walks around selling them. He even has an oven in the basket and roasts the peanuts there. We bought some of it back..it tasted nicer there though! After lunch we walked to Lee Garden Plaza; a mall. First thing I saw there was ..SWENSEN'S!!! It was so cheap there!! and since we didn't have dessert earlier on...behold my yummylicious Gold Rush:

Last Saturday night, Lula & I went to the World Music Festival at the Botanical Gardens. Most pics' are courtesy of Lula - and some off my phone's camera. Taken after the show There were 2 stages, and when one wasn't utilised, it was a dim purple- I actually liked it that way. The crowd. Most people came geared with their lawn chairs and sitting mats. But when the music was on, most of them were up on their feet dancing to the groove =) This was the first act - Kumpulan Kinabalu Merdu Sound ('Sweet sound of Kinabalu' Group) from Sabah, East Malaysia. They did a pretty good job and their music was upbeat. This is one of the guys from Badila. He is a flutist, a poet and a singer. He played the flute beautifully and the whole group consists of members from Iran, India and France. Was cool. Sometimes there was this lady who came and danced..rather twirled..she turned and turned and TURNED for 15 minutes straight! Looked like she was possessed. Yikes! I wasn't wa
