My church friend Denise is a wonderful singer. I've been wanting to blog about her for awhile now, but procrastination always had the better of me. Today I shall blog about her! She's gone to another state now to continue her studies, and I bugged her to sing a song by Utada Hikaru..for a while now..and she actually sang it - she just passed me the link of her youtube and she dedicated the song to me. =) so sweet of you missy! Remember my love for Pandas ? Well, I finally adopted one!! She's sitting on the table right now! My wish has come true!!! (I wanted a Panda - as stated in this post: Oh Tagged! ) Oreja was ever so kind to let me use her card - Imma gonna pay you back - don't be lazy and give me the details alright?! OK,OK I didn't really adopt a panda, I Symbolically adopted one. I received an email from WWF Malaysia in regards of symbolically adopting one of the endangered species with an amount for the adoption kit. I thought, I sure as heck wouldn't be able to have a real one, why not get a cute plush toy? Plus it will help with the conservation efforts they are undergoing anyways. ..What they said She came in this cute bag I asked Oreja what we should name her, and she said Estrella (star in Spanish). These past 2 days I've witness that there are still good and caring people around. It's really the little things or gestures done that makes a difference.(well to me anyway) Take Thursday, my boss came into the office with a bird on his palm. We were all amazed wondering where he got it from. He told us that he saw it lying on the ground next to the drain. (he thought that it was dead). He walked pass it again and saw it standing up. So he picked it up and brought it up. He said that he would bring it to the vet later if it survived. My Finance Manager immediately went to look for a box for the bird(I'm not sure what species it was, but it looked like a pigeony type, but smaller). I remembered that my colleague used to eat oats for breakfast and she should have some in stock. I used to tease her that she was eating bird food, haha fancy a real bird eating it =P. Anyway, we got the bird in the box and he put the bird in his bathroom, away from the noise, cold and light. Late...

I have this dream to help out in Thailand - it's a project that keeps girls safe from sex trade/slavery. Ever since Oprah had a feature on it, I wanted to help them out. Then my friend Espy told me about Keep The Girls Safe Project in Thailand . They teach the girls living skills and keep them in school. So far I've emailed the people in charge, to volunteer, but there's no response (!).They only require monetary aids. I shall get this fulfilled one day.. I have a serious problem. I think I'm in love with .............PANDAS. 've received a few emails about them in the past, and just now I just watched a documentary on captive pandas..MAN THEY ARE ADORABLE!!! Pocketful of Sichuan sunshines These babies are actually situated in the Sichuan Wolong Panda Protection and Breeding Center. As we know, the numbers of Pandas in the world is dwindling down. This center aims to breed them and subsequently return them to the wild. He ain't heavy, he's my brother! They also have a Panda Kindergarten, not too sure what they do there..maybe teach them to play nice and hold bamboo colouring competitions..or Play Peek-a-boo Learn to crawl I also received an email about them after the horrendous Sichuan Earthquake on May12th. Said they huddled together and stayed close. I rememebr reading that there were 2 adult pandas who went missing..not too sure if they located them. I just read in today's newspaper about Edun . What is it actually? To quote their intro site - EDUN is a socially conscious clothing company launched in Spring 2005 by Ali Hewson and Bono with New York clothing designer Rogan Gregory. The company's mission is to help increase trade and create sustainable employment for developing areas of the world with an emphasis on Africa, providing a business model that others can replicate and follow. Organic T-Shirt.. me gusta mucho~ I think what Bono & his wife are doing is so great..makes me want to go out and get a shirt from them! But there aren't any stores in Malaysia that sells them..In Asia only China, Dubai, Japan, Thailand & Singapore..and the ONE shirt costs at US$40. Who is Faith? She was born deformed with only 3 legs (one had to be taken off cuz of how badly deformed it was) and the family who took her in taught her how to walk with 2 legs!!! You can read about her here . What she has achieved is amazing. I saw her on Oprah the other day and she is truly an inspirational animal. If she can achieve this, we can also achieve things we never imagine we could, all we need to do is try! "Unless you flap your wings, you will never know how high you can fly"
