Funny weather

Image
The day started off with an amazing sunrise.. Then in the middle of the journey, it stormed and got so gloomy And then the rain subsided and the skies started to clear up. At the end, we saw a rainbow! =D (I took this pic last week, not today though! But there was a rainbow today as well) And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow. Gilbert K. Chesterton

Come Read With Me (September)

I just wrote my entry and something happened!! Well I'm going to make it a short one. I failed to read a non-vampire book this month. I continued reading the Sookie Stackhouse series. I read book 8 & 9. It was mainly focused on werewolves and ..fairies. Trust me, you do not want to mess with these fairies. Book 9 told about the Fae war and there were lots of bloodshed. They're all not like Tinkerbell. I am currently reading book 10 but I'm procrastinating! That's all for now. Book #8 Book #9

We went to Tree Monkey for dinner yesterday night for a friend's birthday. These pics are from Summer's camera, as I didn't bring mine. Tree Monkey is situated right next to Tropical Spice Garden in Batu Feringghi. It's a place where you will be one with nature enjoying Thai/Malay-styled dishes with a hint of Spanish (they have "Thai Tapas" and "Thai Paellas". Enjoy the pics :) You will not miss the sign You will get a good view of the sun setting Look! Tree Monkeys We sat at the open air area, the rest of the place has atap roof for shade Bora Bora drink - yummy Mixed fruit Pineapple fried rice Seafood tom yum Phad Thai Green Chicken Curry The food tasted really good to me and I liked the open-air concept. It does make you feel one with nature. The downside would be the mosquitoes! We came equipped with repellent, but some weren't spared. Also (thankfully) the monkeys did not come near us at all. Food is quite pricey, but I believe they have

3Cs for you ! Cupcakes, Chocolate and Cheese :) Summer and I baked these back in April - Blackforest Chocolate Cheese Cupcake (oh my, I forgot what it was called!). Baked Choc Cheese..we kinda burnt it. hahaha Creamcheese topping with Cherry. Summer's work of Art. (doesn't it look like a bloodied eyeball? Halloween idea for you =D ) I also baked with Pasu in May. Initially we wanted to make Poppy Lime Cupcakes, but changed our minds to make Chocolate Honeycomb Cupcakes instead. Being choco fanaticos, we added HERSHEY'S CHOC CHIP to make the batter better ;) Yay It's done. Since we didn't have any beehives nearby to get our honeycomb, we opted for HONEY STARS as decoration ♥ Leave 2 nutcases to finish a job - you get all sorts. We even used choc chip cookies for the topping Not one is the same Our next bake session - Summer and I got a little ambitious..we wanted to make 2 types of cake. One was cherry cheesecake..and the other was........... Triple chocolate mousse
