SeaSands in the Sun

I went to Miri, Sarawak to attend my friend's wedding. Miri is situated in East Malaysia (Borneo Island) and is right next to Brunei. It was declared as a city in 2005 - so it's pretty new and I love the place! Miri is also the first place where an oil well was dug up by Shell. Their mascot seemed to be the seashorse! (I was expedting the Hornbill!) Took a flight on MAS from KLIA. It takes about 2.5hours by air. We have to fly across the South China Sea to get to our destination. Stayed in a very affordable and comfy inn called Kingwood Inn. Times when we had nothing to do we all sat in and watched HBO. Lol talk about movie marathon ;) I would recommend you to stay here as it's near some of Miri's attractions. Went for my friend's rehersal at a church in Krokop Saw a beautiful sunset. No pollution here.. the air is so fresh and clean. Was fortunate that I saw a rainbow~ only to find out later that it was a double rainbow =) A nearby mosque There are parks all over M...
