Cambodia!


I visited the beautiful Cambodia in early Aug '12.I spent ~10 days at a Children's Home and met wonderful, inspirational people there. Here are some pictures. Angkor Wat pics will be another post :)

Good for biceps.. Water pump for bath time. You have to try outdoor baths (sarong provided at the background). It is an experience!

They mostly deal in US Dollars..Real are used mostly in markets

Ooooh, on my bucket list for a Vespa ride one day. Although not sure about the bathing outside part as the water would be cold.I kind of love my hot long showers. But I suppose it is so sweating hot that a cold shower would do.

Sweet Sunday

Day of Desserts! Went to celebrate a friend's birthday at Swensen's . Tried their Sizzling Pan - Walnut Rocky Road - Choc pie with choc ice cream with butterscotch & marshmallows topped with walnuts and choc chips in a sizzling pan.. absolutely sinful. ♥ Then we had Choc fondue..but it wasn't that fantastic (for me) as it was dark chocolate..prefer the hazelnut choc one! Come Read with me - November

I read a couple of books - both belonging to my 11-year old cousin! I was really anticipating for Book 2 of Heroes of Olympus to come out (spin-off from Percy Jackson Series) and the wait was worth it. This time the story revolves around Percy - who is a Greek demi-god who gets switched into the Roman Camp by Juno/Hera. He has to work with the Roman Demi-Gods (kids who has 1 parent whose a Roman God/dess) on a quest to release Death and save all of them from being destroyed. Riordan still writes with the same flair that keeps your glued and wanting to know more. I enjoyed this read - only part is that *spoiler alert!*             it's somewhat a cliffhanger! The second book - I didn't really fancy - perhaps I'm too old to appreciate it. It was written by a 13-yr old French Novelist. I wonder if the beauty of the story has gotten lost with the translation. It's a story of 3 girls on a quest to save Fairytale. Oddly, Death is on strike here and t...
