Come Read with Me (March)

I'm back! Sorry for the delay..I simply had to finish my last book before posting this up for March (barely made the deadline of end March!)

I have 3 books to share with you for March - 2 coming from the Percy Jackson series.

Riodan did not fail to disappoint me with the remaining 2 books of the 5-book series (for now?) Both the books will take you on an adventure. Some characters that you met in the previous books will make a come back. I must say out of the 5 books, my favourite would be book #4 - The Battle of the Labyrinth where the plot is surrounding Daedalus - the architect of the Labyrinth and also the search for the great god of of the Wild - Pan. Fun fun fun :) The final book is about the last major battle between the Kronos and the Olympians. I will not elaborate as I think you would need to read it to appreciate them. :)

A book I just finished half an hour ago is Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol. It was a good read and to those who have read his other books (2 which have been made into movies - The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons) will see a come back of the well-loved Professor Robert Langdon. The plot is very "Dan Brown". Like I told my friend Summer, it's a Dan Brown template which he used for this book - only with different mysteries this time around. Seems to be working for him :) This time it takes the subject of Freemasonry once again - involving another assassin, another captured top guy, a very smart scientist lady and getting the information to the bad guy within a time limit and of course - deciphering codes. The book picks up speed when they start deciphering. There might be some twists and turns, but if you know his way of writing, you will be looking out for the surprise, and sometimes catch it before it is revealed. Read it if you liked his previous books, :)

Interesting post about your readings, Mariposa.
Now I am reading "The first three minutes" by Steven Weinberg, which is not a light reading!
Happy week :-)
