Movies in August
Some movie reviews for you :)
I watched the action-packed Salt early August. There's never a time when the action stops, and the rush is awesome. The movie revolves around Evelyn Salt (Jolie) who is accused as being a Russian Spy in the United States. The story then goes on to the plan of assassinating the Russian President as well as the US President. So who really is Salt? A Russian spy or an innocent victim? You must watch to find out :)
Inception received mixed reviews from my friends. Some said it should be nominated as the movie of the year, where as some were just plain confused. I must say, you really have to pay attention throughout the movie or else you might get lost. The plot goes on about a team of people trying to steal vital information from people through dreams. But there is a counter offer by a affluent man to this team to plant ideas instead of stealing them. This then leads to a journey of entering dreams of the "victim". It gets intense when there are 3 layers of dreams! Although I did think the writers did have some mercy where they sort of try to remind the viewers what was going on by showing the 3 levels of dreams on and off. I enjoyed it =) Oreja was looking forward to this movie since last year, but I think her expectations were higher ;)
This is supposed to be the first dance movie that is done in 3D. However, I watched the 2D version. Hehe I must say I enjoyed it thoroughly. I know Maripasu was tapping her feet during the movie :) Simple plot - join the world dance championship, practice hard, out-dance the enemy, and try winning. The thing to look forward to would be the dance moves itself. You might see some familiar faces from the dance competition So You Think You Can Dance in this movie as well. I particularly enjoyed the comic relief given by the Lombard Twins (They danced awesome too). A must watch if you like dance/entertainment.
I just watched this movie today. I loved it! It's a Hindi comedy movie starring Aamir Khan. It is actually based on a book by Chetan Bhagat (Five Point Someone). It revolves around 3 friends who are studying Engineering and the things they have to endure to obtain their degree. I particularly like the plot cause it revolves how messed up the education system really is. :) The comedy is good too! Go watch it :)
