Kind souls still exist
These past 2 days I've witness that there are still good and caring people around. It's really the little things or gestures done that makes a difference.(well to me anyway)
Take Thursday, my boss came into the office with a bird on his palm. We were all amazed wondering where he got it from. He told us that he saw it lying on the ground next to the drain. (he thought that it was dead). He walked pass it again and saw it standing up. So he picked it up and brought it up. He said that he would bring it to the vet later if it survived. My Finance Manager immediately went to look for a box for the bird(I'm not sure what species it was, but it looked like a pigeony type, but smaller). I remembered that my colleague used to eat oats for breakfast and she should have some in stock. I used to tease her that she was eating bird food, haha fancy a real bird eating it =P. Anyway, we got the bird in the box and he put the bird in his bathroom, away from the noise, cold and light. Later during lunch I peeped in and saw it perched on the box - sleeping! and my boss said it pooped too, which was a good sign. After work I went to check on it and the birdy gone!! There's a window at the bathroom; and it must've flown away! My boss guessed that it might've flew into a window and got a headache (I thought birdy got a concussion) =P So it must've recovered an decided to fly off after it recovered. Bye Bye Birdie (Sorry no pic, I couldn't ask my boss to POSE FOR A BLOGPOST! he doesn't even know I was gonna blog about it lol)
Then yesterday, I went to get some lunch at a nearby stall. There was a kitty cat meowing, obviously looking for lunch. (Cats are so smart, they sound so pitiful, they tug your heartstrings to do something about it - classic example here.) So as I was about to pay for my lunch, I asked the seller [let's call him Pakcik) (uncle in Malay)] if I could add a fish to my bill, for the cat..he said Sure. So I took a fishy and passed it to the kitty. And when I wanted to pay for it, the Pakcik said, No you don't have to pay for the fish. I was surprised! He didn't want my money? Some people would deem it to be a 'waste' to give food to a cat, let alone a stray..but not this Pakcik..He's nice! =)

I'm just so thankful that there's people who aren't so self-centred and those who think that money isn't the most important thing in life. My hat's off to my boss and Pakcik. We need more people like you! May God bless them abundantly ;)
