SeaSands in the Sun

Last Saturday my best friend Summer had a photo shoot at the the Heritage Site of Penang. She asked me to tag along and I pounced at the opportunity..as I had always wanted to take some pics of the Heritage Site (and of course provide morale support for her!) Most popular street - You'll find heritage gems here Inside Colonial Restaurant - very beautiful as it is filled with paintings and a wonderful air well Go green oops, some uncle forgot his glasses! You can find a map at the information centre (located near Khoo Kongsi - Off Armenian Street) and off you go on a Heritage Trail. I'm only going to focus on 3 sites, but particularly on the Cheah Clan House - which is Summer's heritage ;) There are a few Chinese Clan houses over here and the most famous one is the Khoo Kongsi. I went to Miri, Sarawak to attend my friend's wedding. Miri is situated in East Malaysia (Borneo Island) and is right next to Brunei. It was declared as a city in 2005 - so it's pretty new and I love the place! Miri is also the first place where an oil well was dug up by Shell. Their mascot seemed to be the seashorse! (I was expedting the Hornbill!) Took a flight on MAS from KLIA. It takes about 2.5hours by air. We have to fly across the South China Sea to get to our destination. Stayed in a very affordable and comfy inn called Kingwood Inn. Times when we had nothing to do we all sat in and watched HBO. Lol talk about movie marathon ;) I would recommend you to stay here as it's near some of Miri's attractions. Went for my friend's rehersal at a church in Krokop Saw a beautiful sunset. No pollution here.. the air is so fresh and clean. Was fortunate that I saw a rainbow~ only to find out later that it was a double rainbow =) A nearby mosque There are parks all over M...
