Throwback to old Penang

Last Saturday my best friend Summer had a photo shoot at the the Heritage Site of Penang. She asked me to tag along and I pounced at the opportunity..as I had always wanted to take some pics of the Heritage Site (and of course provide morale support for her!) I have previous posts on Penang which you can view by clicking Here and Here.

Most popular street - You'll find heritage gems here

Inside Colonial Restaurant - very beautiful as it is filled with paintings and a wonderful air well

Go green

oops, some uncle forgot his glasses!

You can find a map at the information centre (located near Khoo Kongsi - Off Armenian Street) and off you go on a Heritage Trail. I'm only going to focus on 3 sites, but particularly on the Cheah Clan House - which is Summer's heritage ;) There are a few Chinese Clan houses over here and the most famous one is the Khoo Kongsi. I haven't entered if yet! Planning to =D

Entrance

Cheah Kongsi has no entrance fee

You can find many trishaw riders who are willing to take you along these streets to have a real 'feel' of the whole place. Traders' Hotel in town has this service where you can have a trishaw ride to visit all the Heritage Sites. Here's one tourist ;)

Paint the town red

At the top part of the picture you can see beautiful wooden designs - I believe it has some Malay design influence on it.

The bungalow that's also a temple

He's bringing sexy back

Tiled floors

Over here you can read all about this place. There's numerous newspaper cuttings that's posted up to understand more about the history of this place.

Size don't matter - found a beautiful bonzai plant in the middle of the courtyard.

Staircase - I like the design

Gilded doors

Temple

The Yap Clan

Now, for some pics of the photographers (Yoong Nian and Naga) during the photoshoot :)

I can see the model from here!

Enthusiastic duo

I love this one lol

Yoong Nian has posted up the photoshoot at his blog. You can have a look at it here: Shutterbug

nice pictures :)

it's a good twist taking the photos of the photographers instead of the 'model' :)
