Brownie Brownie

20th August 1999 - 2nd born of 5 pups from our dog, Bubbles.


2001-2003? Happy times


2005 - He loved to stretch this way!


2006 - Got lost but thankfully was found 2 days later

January 2007 - Meeting Bobo for the first time



End of 2007 (was having Jaundice - so we found out soon enough)
The vet said he had 60% to live..he hung on till 2009 (he recovered, but encountered other medical complications).


Mid 2008 - One of his eyes started to get blurry, not sure due to old age or too much medication. Was givenmendication due to ticks that caused some bacteria to affect his heart and vital organs. The vet gave him vitamins and he started on heart medication. His appetite was picking back here after months of vet visits and weight loss.


End of 2008/Early 2009 - He definitely improved towards the last quarter of '08. Started playing/fighting with Bobo and running around.


Last pic I got of him before he passed on. 1st February 09. He refused to get out of the car, and I only managed to touch his paw.


Went to the vet on4th Feb - Which I missed (the only visit that I didn't go along). Went to check on him the next evening after work..only to find him gone.

Bobo Saying Goodbye. He misses Brownie a lot. He seems a lot more subdued. My aunt says that he sleeps next to Brownie's grave and howls =(

oh panda... i want to cry. this is one of the sweetest posts i've ever read... he's so blessed to have you as his mistress (and your relatives too). i feel so sad seeing him in that photo under the car... dont know why tak mau keluar. and he was such a beautiful pup when he was young. bobo was so cute, too. sigh. i wish i could give you big hugs.

Come Read With Me (February)

I've got 4 books to share with you for February :) First would be a book given to me by Mariposi (aka Gavin) for my birthday. Was so thoughtful of you! Thank goodness he gave me the English version as I do not think I would be able to tackle the original version (which is in Spanish) as my vocabulary in Spanish is abysmal at this moment. The cover of the book pretty much sums up the story - A novel in monthly instalments with recipes, romances and home remedies. The story is set in a ranch in Mexico. A boy resorted to marry the sister of his girlfriend just so he could be close to her as she was destined to take care of her mother till her mother dies as she was the youngest of the family. I love the way Laura writes and she incorporates a lot of recipes in between the main plot. I just watched the movie (no subtitles!) and it was a good thing I read the book beforehand or else I might have gotten a little lost. Barcelona!!

Be warned: This is a super long post..longer than my Al-Hambra one! I'm finally blogging about my next destination during my trip to Spain.. that is none other than the lovely and quirky.. BARCELONA! After the last day of class (Friday), my friend Nav and I took the bus to Madrid..we booked a flight to Barcelona from Madrid at about 6.30am (i think?) on Saturday morning. We said our goodbyes to our housemates and new found friends, and departed the beautiful Salamanca. On the way to Madrid (last time onboard the efficient and comfy Avanza) I caught Ávila at night and I must say the view was breathtaking, it happened to quickly and I couldn't take the pic on time. Managed to catch the colourful sky though =) Skyline - trust me if was so beautiful in real, the camera gives it no credit at all. We spent the night at the airport, but I didn't get much sleep at all - THANKS to one lousy couple who sat opposite me..that lady had an annoying high pitched laugh..AND SHE KEPT LAUG...
